Music appreciation advocates a student’s exposure to Western music history. Students will analyze famous composers from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionistic eras, measure their contributions to the world, and compare the styles. By both examining my interactive visual aids and intensely listening to recognized tunes by each composer – such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff – they quickly develop the ability to name compositions while engaging in rewarding games!
